Come to hear imaginary sound landscapes created by students from Greenhead College through a geolocative audio project developed in collaboration with Jung In Jung from The University of Huddersfield Music Department. Students and undergraduates from the department will explain geolocative audio, and their compositional processes and materials before taking you on a walk to hear sonic landscapes that are only available for listening only when you enter particular locations. The talk is accessible to all, but if you would like to experience the geolocative audio you will need to wear comfortable clothes walking outside (especially if it is cold), and to bring a GPS enabled smart phone with some headphones. Following this event there will be an opportunity to ask questions about how you can create and upload your own geolocative audio.
